It is now time to prepare H-1B petitions for the upcoming fiscal year. April 1, 2010 is the earliest date that USCIS will accept H-1B petitions for the 2011 Fiscal Year. It is important that you begin this process as soon as possible as the demand for H-1B visas may be higher for this upcoming year.

The current law only allows 65,000 H-1B visas to be allotted to foreign nationals with Bachelors degrees and foreign advanced degrees. An additional 20,000 H-1B visas are allotted to individuals holding an advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) from a U.S. institution.
